Every time someone posts a new thread in this forum I immediately go off looking at bags... sheesh.
I was curious if anyone was using a Hubba Hubba Hiney (same dimensions basically as the ONA Bowery - which I already have and use) and if they could expand on what they like and don't like about the bag.
Curious as always,
Dave

' Hubba Hubba Hiney' sounds a tad risque...![]()
*wiggles his derriere*
It's a Think Tank branded bag Helen, I just don't know how useful it will be compared to the ONA I already have

I want one.

I sold mine.
It was too hard to get the camera in and out of the bag. It seemed cramped and every compartment/pocket seemed too tight. Too many zippers.
It just wasn't for me.
I like the Ona much better.

Hmmm... this concerns me. I love my ONA but wanted something more versatile.. but the zippers.. you raise a good point.

I thought from the title this was going to be my all time favourite thread. Imagine my reaction on seeing it's a bag thread

I'd never buy one, but partly out of fear of what would happen if anyone asked me what it was called.
And, yeah, too many zips. Velcro I can handle; Fastex is better.

I still have one but hardly use it anymore ever since the Ona Bowery. Like you mentioned, it is about the same size, although a bit more flexible (as in to be stuffed) due to material.
I echo Willie_901 about the zipper making it harder to get items in an out of the bag, but you could "fold out" the top and always have it open if necessary.
Finally, the strap that comes with it just does not feel as good as using the seat belt like Ona strap. I ended up using Ona strap with the Hubba.
So, for storage inside a larger bag or for transport, it's great since it is quite a bit lighter than Ona. But for using on the street, Ona wins hands down. Plus, from the look, no contest

And I thought that would be the advantage. The name alone is worth it.
Unfortunately, I already have waaay too many bags.

It's a disease.

I picked one up for some reason or another a year or two ago. I needed something about this size a few months ago and all my other bags were full, so I used it. It's cramped and tight no matter what you try to work with. It's meant to be an adjunct to some other component of the Think Tank Photo bag system, as a standalone bag its pretty mediocre. I've been using it to store one of my Polaroid Spectras and just getting the camera in and out is a pain.
I may have to finally buy one of the Ona Bowery bags ... I need a trim bag for Polaroid SX-70 Sonar and other small-ish cameras that ISN'T already stuffed full of stuff. Sigh.

Well.. having looked at this "in the flesh" over lunch today I would tend to agree with most folks here. It's cramped but it shouldn't be - the "rain jacket" seems to suck up a lot of bulk and while I know it can be removed I figure; if you're going to make a bag then at least make it repellent if it's not waterproof.
Anyway, I am now going to review some pouches for the Ricoh GR as I was hoping to find one that would accommodate the camera with the 28mm finder attached. The Think Tank "Little Stuff It!" seemed to be the right size, until, again, I saw it "for real" and the same problem cropped up with the raincoat. *sigh*.
Cheers and thanks,
Dave

I find myself wondering whether carrying a bag with that name would make you very welcome in Tyneside or earn you a helping of that local dish: the "Knuckle Sandwich".
Still, in my experience, Geordies are good hearted souls and would probably just shake their heads.
