It is so much hotter in absolute terms out west but it is also much dryer. 100°+ in Boston with the humidity you get here is brutal. We have central AC. 😉

Well so far this month we've had around 250mm of rain, we've had snow in the surrounding hills, and storm force winds.
Today was much more pleasant, fine and around 15C. But then, it is winter here....

Haven't you heard? Its not the heat but the humidity! From tornado alley, out on the plains of Ok, we have ligthening, sorry not pics yet, and heat. We even have heat lightening. So far 107 and counting, 7 days +. I think the weatherman can tape and replay Robin Williams' DJ weather broadcast in Good Morning Vietnam. Hot, Hot , Hot.
