Hugo Meyer 50mm f1.5 Plasmat, 1st Leica hi- speed 50?

Has anyone got any info on the Hugo Meyer Plasmat 50/1.5 lens?
I remember reading some years ago that it was the first high speed
50mm lens that was fitted to a Leica I (C) in 1931.

I'm pretty sure that Meyer lenses were fitted 'unofficially' in the 1920s, but I can't find the reference. Remove the stop; unscrew the Elmar; screw in a Plasmat (in the appropriate custom mount, obviously). Must have been fun scale-focusing these before the II came out.
