Hello,

I'm looking for a 28mm hot-shoe viewfinder - with all the bits and pieces on ebay, I thought there'd be at least some cheap/generic viewfinders.. apparently not!

I did find this very appealing but ultimately too expensive ($99) solution, and I realise I can probably make my own out of bits of wire or even a dismantled disposable camera's veiwfinder..

Just wondering, though, whether there is some 'cheap' source for hot-shoe viewfinders..?

Many thanks,

Jeremy

You find VF popping up occasionally for less than the prices some ask for Leica and CV finders. Just keep searching. And if you find that legendary source... let me know. I too would like a 28mm finder for my M5 bodies.

Take care!

The ikodot is a pain in the arse to use... I couldn't get on with it (and yes, I understood how it worked).

I'll have to check my KMZ turret finder when I get home but I think it covers 28mm.

It does.

There's plenty of them on eBay for between $50 and $70; if you look a little longer you can get it for cheaper. And it covers 35, 50, 85 and 135mm, too. :)

Thanks guys.

I'd hoped that there'd be some cheap and cheerful variety that I could pick up somewhere. Looks like that's not the case. For me - personally - I was hoping to get away with spending $25 or something like that, and therefore will probably end up just making one from a dissected disposable camera.
It's not going on an M2!

Appreciate the advice!

Cheers
Jeremy
