Can any one help a new Zorki 1 user?

I have a Zork 1 with a Zorki 22 1.35 F 50 colapsable lens.

I am right in thinking that if I set the lens F stop in use on the depth of field scale to infinity on the meters scale the lens is hyper focused a made easy for point and shoot?

I hope I have explained that OK.

Thanks for any info.

We are lucky in using cameras with this facility - use it as a guide rather than a definitive, to allow for vagaries of production, but it does allow "P&S" style use 🙂

Hyperfocus is based on very precise mathematical-optical concepts and works extremely well. Just be aware, as DaveP says, that the minimum distance in acceptable focus is one-half the hyperfocal distance.

I use hyperfocus for most shots with 40mm and wider lenses. With 50mm, about half the shots are hyperfocus and half use the rangefinder.
