...since I just opened my long awaited package from Ukraina. My new Fed 2(type e) seems to be in excellent cosmetic shape and everything seems to work properly. I´m looking forward to be able to load it with film, pick up my old Seconic lightmeter and start shooting. The Industar 61 lens seems to have some tiny scratches on the front lens, but my hope is that they will not effect the quality of forthcoming images. Just wanted to share my joy with some people who I know understands my feelings right now :D !

I'm also feeling your joy, received a Zorki Mir with the Industar-61 lens on Friday from SCOTTHELAD (Brian) on this forum. Put th first roll of film in today. Taken 10 frames so far - that metal ring around the finder scratched my glasses something rotten, so now I've got a very nerdy ring of blu-tac around it :)

The camera and case were in excellent condition for ~45 year olds - they smell just like my parents loft.

Aki Asahi sells eyeglasses protectors for most FSU cameras. I use them on my Kiev and they do a great job. Pretty cheap, too.

Thanks Captain, but the blu-tac is actually looking like a real good solution, it doesn't protrude, perfect fit and only cost me the effort of removing some from the ball stuck to my monitor.

I think I'm going to do this with all of my cameras.

Congrats on your FED 2e. They're great little cameras. I wouldn't worry about scratches on the lens. All but 2 of my lenses have lots of scratches and I don't think they affect the pictures at all.
