I-22 vs. collapsible I-50

What's the difference between these two lenses? Cosemetically, they're almost identical and they have the same range of f/stops.
 
If I recall correctly, the difference is in the lens coating. The newer I-50 is (multi?) coated, while the I-22 is either uncoated or single-coated.
 
I agree. I have a great I-50 and recommend it if you can get a good one.
 
And equally I have a great I-22 that I think may be quite old and is made by FED. The mechanics aren't great but optically I can't distinguish it from a 1949 5cm Elmar I have.

 
I don't believe that either of these lenses is multi-coated. The I-50's were made in the mid-1960's, before multi-coating was commonly available. The _22's were made in the 1950's.

Maizenberg says that the I-50 has higher resolution than the I-22, but he doesn't say why.

I've made enlargements from ISO 100 color negative film up to 8X12 and cannot see any distinctions at that level of enlargement. Perhaps it will show at higher maginifications.
