I-61 in Kiev mount - for Max

Hi,

here are a couple of pictures of the I-61 I've done for Max 😀

I chose a different way than the Rich Pinchbeck's method on Kiev survival site: instead of making a really thick shim I used the "stan-off ring" from J-8 lens. The ring can be moved a little to adjust the working distance... see the following picture:

beautiful. cant wait to see test shots. i did this some time ago and results were nice. i still didnt convert enlarger lens. i just need to find right tools for that because its more complicated.

Noel: Yup - you're right 😉 Only a J-8 (not J-8M !) lens mount, J-8 "stand-off ring" and the optics module from I-61.

Unfortuantely it cannot be secured by the screw just as Kiev-mount J-8s are, and it holds there the same way as LTM J-8s - by tightening the optics in the mount. It's a funny coincidence that the optics of J-8 and I-61 have the same thread to screw into their mounts...

This probably also means you can 'convert' a J8 to fit a I61 mount?

probably not... The I-61 sits very extended in the J-8 mount - almost as far in the front as it goes...

The J-8 needs to be closer to film than the I-61, so perhaps the other way it's not possible.
