OK, I've joined the ranks of Bessa owners and am fondling my beautiful, black Bessa R.
For now it has the Jupiter 8 (a clean and new looking black one). I've also got another FSU 50mm f3.5, is that the "Industar"?
Anyway, I'll now be on the prowl for a 35mm f3.5, since the J12 won't fit the Bessa.
😀 😀

cv 35/2.5 is what you want for that cam.

or maybe better yet, for a little less contrast a canon 35/2.8.
i love my 35/2 but i'll never get rid of the 35/2.8 either.

the cv classic is a very nice lens and should be resonable if found used.

anywho, congrats on the bessa, it's a very nice camera.

Hate to hijack the thread, even for a second, but joe - ever take the 35/2.8 apart? I have one as a result of the buying binge today and it is locked up tight. Focusing ring does not budge.

It's a really compact little piece of work and I'd like to salvage it.

sorry john, no.
i am a gutless wonder when it comes to being a handy kinda guy.
i wonder if that lens was dropped or jammed...

mine was silky smooth and i quite liked the little tab for focussing.

wish ya luck.

You're right Joe, it's the 35mm f2.5 that I meant. I should have the first roll of "test" color print film through the "R" by tomorrow. The J-8 gave me some great B&W shots on the Zorki 4K.

John, let us know how your lens fix goes, eh?

Joe,
With a big enough hammer, everything is fixable - HA!

Thanks Remy. I'll be having the test roll of color print film through it tomorrow.
What a joy to use; Bright viewfinder, nice meter and just feels good in the hand! Gotta find me a nice 35mm Skopar though - LOL.
