Magical indeed. I still have my Fuji enlarging glass. It ain't goin' nowhere anytime soon. I have an adapter that allows me to use them on the OM/OM bellows.

The Minolta 7s has a roll of APX100 in it that is taking forever to shoot because it just doesn't seem to be that comfortable to me.?

Funny thing, after starting out film photography with my father's 7s, I decided I needed a better camera, and ended up buying a Nikon F70, FT3, FG20, F4s, Russian rangefinders, and eventually a Bessa.

Last week, I had a pretty important shoot and I used the Nikon SLR's and the Bessa for 12 out of 13 rolls... One roll I shot through the Minolta 7s, perhaps out of nostalgia, I don't know, but it had been a long long time since I used that camera. Turns out that roll definitely had the most shots that I'd consider good(something like 30 out of 36, which is an all-time high for me), and my three overall favorites from the whole shoot.

And that Rokkor 45/1.8 is just amazing, definitely the best lens I ever used. Better than the CV's, FSU glass, Nikkors, ... Better than the lenses on the Canonets and Yashica Electro's I used to have, too.

If you decide to sell yours in a while... Let me know, I think I might be interested in a backup 🙂

(pray for me)

No, you are NOT.
Perhaps you achieved the first stage, but for the second you'll need:

a) A good eye band of those distributed on flights for sleeping.

b) A good pair of ear inserts, the best being manufactured for artillery personell.

c) A good mouth strap (look after at sado-maso shops)

d) Xanax XR

e) A shrink will not harm.

f) Transfer all your bank accounts and credit cards to your wife.

Cheers,
Ruben

I look the other way for a few days and *poof* the world has changed!

Good luck, Joe!

The only stuff left to get is darkroom enlarging and wet printing gear. I don't think that counts... 😉

Peter i think that counts! especially as i've just realised you can get spare parts for the Focomat 1 and 2's even new printing light sources. I could revamp my whole darkroom......

I'm done, too, as of today.
My only remaining wish was a high-quality MF SLR - my Great Wall will not last forever - and on Friday I take a train down to Brabant to pick up - lucky, lucky me - a perfect (6X6) Bronica kit: an SQ-A, three backs, two finders, and various bits and pieces.
I have one of every camera I have ever (realistically! 🙂 ) wanted. I am content.

The Bronica SQA is a very nice set. Good glass and affordable. Good luck with that.

Heh. There is that. Yes indeed.
I'll cross those bridges then, shall I?

That depends on how important the pics are when you're taking them....
anyway that's my excuse for GAS sometimes 😀

so, i had to go to ebay to leave feedback on a small item that arrived in today's mail.
mine was the only bid on a leitz minolta cl instruction booklet, in good shape, for a lowly 4.99!

as was my habit after leaving the feedback i thought i'd check out my favourite watch lists but then i realized THAT I AM DONE and clicked back to rff without a glance at what might possibly be for sale.

day 1 - passed

😉

Good on ya, joe!
I have a friend who quit smoking a long time ago and he's told me "I didn't ever say to my self I would never smoke again, just that I wasn't going to smoke today." So far(7000 some odd days) he still hasn't smoked today.
Be strong.
