Of course, there is the next stage of GAS, where you start buying a duplicate of every RF cam you own, just in case something goes wrong with one of them, although, no one on RFF suffers fromt his problem (I gather)

GAS, GAS! GAS? Please help me! I'm trying to read this funny thread, but i'm lost at the word "GAS", which keeps coming back in this thread. What does "GAS" stand for? Can anyone explain, or give a pointer? Thnx

Gear Acquisition Syndrome - the irresistable urge to roam the planet for ever more exotic equipment (or just more equipment) on the assumption that it might make you a better photographer/happier/improve your sex life (in no particular order). OK - this really is a serious problem... Truth be known, I did already get another GSN - but it was only because the bidding ended at $9.95 and one of the over/under lights was missing!! It was like an accident! I didn't even know if it worked (but of course it did...) :angel:

This is going to be painful, I can tell ... and did someone say something about MF Rangefinders... I think this is going to be worse than my switch to Nikon from Olympus a few years ago.... :bang:

hmmmmm..... suffering from GAS is bad, for your wallet at least. In Rangefinderland, GAS inevitably leads to Leicalust.
And GAS is definately contagious - it not only spreads over the 'net, but to your family.
If your Significant Other is at all into photography, DO NOT let them handle your Leica.......... :bang:
