I think you need to try meditation!!
What infinity check? what are you talking about? what 50mm lines are small? why you were turning the winder to the wrong way?

bah, sounds like you are the one who needs meditation! 
um....I tried pointing the ZI at a group of buildings a long ways away and then I set the lens to infinity inside the rangefinder the images are still a good distance apart from each other, at least a good 2/3 of the rangefinder patch distant. Im assuming the rangefinder is out of alignment since I had a similar problem with my mamiya 6 back in the day. I got lucky, my film was saved, the negatives look ok, will scan for a closer look.

I just checked my M7 with 50 lux and same thing is happening, but buildings are not that far away, I need to do it with moon

the buildings I was aiming at were a good 4-5 kilometers away so im hoping thats enough

I just went outside and couldn't focus on the moon, the lens was at infinity but the rangefinder was still off.

I am afraid both my Zeiss Ikon and M7 are off! on infinity moon is not in focus!!
what should we doo?

Ill try the sun later today then, its a little farther away and never shines strong here, just a dim red dot in the sky, followed by a call to my camera dealer to see what can be done.

Please let me know, I am also interested since both of my cameras do the same thing, also my M7 flares
