I Did It!!

So I took the giant step tonight and devloped my first roll of Delta 400. Now, what do I do with it? I don't have darkroom equipment nor a scanner. Can you take the film to have it printed or scanned at a Walgreens, Costco or store like this? I know I can get it scanned at a local camera shop but this will take about a week.

The negatives look fairly even so I'm happy with this, but I want to see the damn prints :bang: . Have I put the cart before the horse??

I think you did the hard part - you went and built the cart.

Now, you gotta buy a horse. Or, better, a scanner.

Hope the prints turn out great!

My local walgreens will scan to cd from an uncut strip for ~$3 IIRC.

it's way more expensive to bring in negs to have scanned than if a lab does it from the start.
you need a scanner now.

Because with an enlarger us other rff members won't have the chance to see the photos. 😀

Yup, flat bed scanners do a pretty decent job now a days and are relatively inexpensive. You will get decent quality to display on your screen, and if you want prints you can always take your best negs to a lab instead of printing everything.

Scott, Do you have a cheap digital camera, or have access to one? If so, carefully scotchtape the negs by their edges to a window pane and take a photo with the digicam. Invert the photo in you favorite software. Now, at least, you can see what the photos look like.
