shutterfiend
cheap and lazy
It started with a torn film at my wife's friend's place, which I successfully recovered using my wife's winter coat as my light-tight bag, and in spite of my wife's encouraging demands to just give up and join the party. No sooner had I triumphantly emerged film in hand, my wife asked for her coat back and without a thought I yanked it off the bed in the darkened room I was using, remembering as I did that the camera was still nestled within the comfortable folds of the jacket.
Close inspection revealed the following:
1. "B" leaves the shutter blades open for about 2 seconds now (not indefinitely). But I'm not sure if this was an existing issue.
2. The over-lapping aperture blades are out of sequence. each blade over-laps the previous and is over-lapped by the next blade EXCEPT 2, one of which is over-lapped on both sides and the other isn't on either. Again, I'm not sure if this is by design.
