Some time back someone mentioned whether or not one could use closeup filters with their rf. About the same time I was looking at the local Ritz for a lens cap for my Canonet 17 and instead ran across a 48mm closeup #2 which I bought. I then needed to find out what distance I needed to be from the front of the lens. (I didn't immediately find the data sheet stuck to the inside of the box. :bang: :bang: )

Well, then I decided to experiment, but wasn't really serious about it. 13 inches was the required distance. My handy-dandy Lufkin to the rescue and I tried a couple of hand held shots. The first, shown below, I realized was probably not centered well, but I think it was good distance wise and steady wise. The second was not as close nor probably as steady, so I'm not showing it.

My PS skills aren't good, so I just resized this for posting. Next I need to get out a tripod and get serious I guess. But, I just feel good, da da da da da da daaaa. 😀

Ssshh. She doesn't realize it was you. 😀

And yes, I fondle it quite often. It travels to work with me all the time. I make it stay in the styrofoam Omaha Steak box at least until we get out of sight of the house. lol

Thanks. It seems to have lost some sharpness in the resizing. Not that it was razor sharp mind you. It was hand held. But as I said, I felt good about the potential. And it sure is lighter than my Super Press 23.

And thanks again for that resurection job. I think the only way it could have been worse was if I sent you a box of parts. 😀
