Vivian Maier did that. They found lots of shot but undeveloped film when her legacy was discovered.
I've seen the film made about her, found it interesting but all rather odd. I wondered whether she needed to take a camera with her in order to justify to herself the need to go outside. As if she were agoraphobic in some way and having a camera with her, and taking pictures, helped give her a reason.
(Not explaining myself well here, but thinking along the lines of going for a walk without or with a dog...which sort of justifies the walk.)
Oh...and by the way, back to the aforementioned film. I realise I can forget what used to be second nature. It helps to remember to set the camera to the correct ASA and I would also do well to remember that unboxed film at the bottom of our fridge might have been there for many years...underexposure rules!

Time to try another but I promise not to go on about it!

I think, that if you are not clear about why you should be shooting film, then... you should not be shooting film...
I've just scanned a roll nr 82 this year in 35mm and another in MF, which is number 54.
It's all B&W, I just shoot for a hobby in my free time, develop, scan and print myself and all this while I work 15 hours a day.
So yes, shooting film can still be fun.

After 50+ years it is really about deciding whether I can be bothered with using film anymore...but at least it is a decision that doesn't really need to be made.

mfogiel, Your image made me laugh. Not sure if it was intended to be funny but I thought so.
