I got a Minolta Autocord

Ask your teacher, by all means. He/she should have given you a short run-down on how the thing operates and his phone number, in case you are stuck.

And do not send it to get a CLA: it will cost you a lot, and it is his/her camera, right?

The best place to send an Autocord is Karl Bryan. He is an expert on Autocords and used to sell CLA'd Autocords on evibay for less than $150. Lost his address but some other members might know it?

Looks like Karl serviced a Canon VT for me. Very fast and reasonably priced. I found his email address in my gmail contact list.

I sent an email to Karl. I'm very interested in the Autocord after reading more about it. Anyone want to swap a freshly CLA'd Yashi 124g for one?

Please let us know what you hear from Karl. I too have an Autocord. The shutter is jammed and it needs repair and CLA. Got it decades ago in a trade, and I haven't even thought about it for years, but I'd like to resurrect it.

Karl is a great guy. He has worked on a couple of Autocords of mine. I had one for b+w and one for transparencies. Then I started 4x5 where it is easy to use several different films so I sold one of the Autocords. I still have the other one but after getting a Mamiya 7 I may give up the second Autocord all it does is sit on a shelf and look pretty🙁

I emailed Karl and he replied promptly. I'll be getting the camera recovered and CLA'd, so will get the skins and then send it to him. Sounds very good so far.. This forum is a great source of information.. 🙂
