My wife & I went to the flea market this afternoon. One of the vendors had a Yashica D TLR on his table. It wasn't in fantastic condition, but definitely usable. The viewfinder could have been brighter, but not too bad. Shutter still worked and all the speeds sounds right. It came with it's original leather case with & box, which still had the manuals and flash attachment in it. All for only $45.

Problem is, I lost my job recently and with the Holidays upon us, I don't have that kind of money to spend. So, I found on the ensuing GAS attack and walked away. Fuming, of course. :bang:

Does this ever happen to you?

Except for the currently out of work part ... All The Freak'n Time!

My wife and I are renovating an 1830's house and most of the money goes into the old money pit.

Good luck in the job hunt.

I must be getting better at fighting impule GAS. This morning I had a good chat with two flea-market sellers: the first with a Yashica Minister D in good condition, I think he really wanted to keep it, and wanted to know how to judge exposure without the meter (dead battery); the second had a mint Voigtlander Vitoret D with mint case - he kept asking me to make an offer and I kept telling him it was worth his asking price,on ebay!

But you're right - the good deals never show when you have spare cash!

"My wife makes good money and she loves to work."

frank, you are wealthy in more than one way. 🙂

I'm not wealthy. My wife is just nuts because she used to be a lawyer. 🙂

PS: She's sleeping because she's gotta work tomorrow---mooohahahahaha. 🙂
