Heh! 😀 - I use a Summaron on my M3 without goggles and just use the outside of the viewfinder as a framing guide....its near enough

The problem is you cannot just remove them and use an outside viewfinder. goddamnit. I hope I can get rid of them cause I paid quite a lot for a cla.

I had a goggled Summaron and found it wouldn't focus on my M2 without the goggles(ok zone focusing of course ) and with the goggles the extra glass made the viewfinder dim.So I sold it and got a 40mm cron instead .I would still like a 35mm 2.8 Summaron for the M2.
Regards
Steve

The goggles don't always dim the viewfinder enough to be a problem. I hardly notice it when using my goggled Summaron on my M3 or M2.

i used the camera with a summicron I borrowed from alexz and it was a song.I finished a roll in an hour.

With the summaron I drag a roll for a week already. It just bothers me.
How much do I charge for one just cla'd by Sherry?

I have the Summicron 35mm lens with goggles. It limits its use since I can only use it with the M3.

Raid, you can also use this lens with goggles on your M6, and if you have them, an M2, M4, M4-2, and M4-P.

Frank: I did not know this useful fact! Thanks. I will certainly start using my Summicron on the m6 then. The goggles add character to the camera.

Glad to see some people sticking up for my favorite lens..... 35 summicron with googles. great little picture taker and how fantastic it looks on my M3
(I think I will go take some pictures with it right now)

I own a 1962 Summaron 35 mm f/ 2,8 with goggles, from 1995: i have used this lens on the Leica M2, Leica MP and now on the Leica M5 (the best combination for elegance, in my opinion). I don't hate the goggles and i love very mutch the rendition of my Summaron.
Ciao.

I thought I read somewhere that the gogles were just for using the lens for close ups or close focusing. Do you have to use them all the time? This is in regards to the 50mm.
