I have a year's worth of film to develop.

Not too bad myself, about 20 rolls of 35mm and a few rolls of 120, all B&W.

And a few 6x6cm and 6x9cm sheets of B&W sheet film.

I'm still working off my 20 roll backlog from the end of 2012. I have them all developed and scanned, just not processed - about 6 more rolls to go.

The best way to get through it is to start. I always process 4 rolls at a time. I'm limited to drying the 4 in the garment bag (pretty dusty here in TX) so I use that to pace myself. If I get bored of marathon developing, I will switch to scanning a few rolls which usually gets me excited enough to develop the rest.

usually there are 3-5 rolls to do. I am good at keeping the back log down to a dull roar. I shoot enough to have to run 5 rolls every 2-3 days - and I am good at getting them done!
Biggest problem is when we travel as it is very easy to come back with 50-60 rolls. Marathon processing - I have 4 Paterson 5 reel tanks and usually run film for three days. Edit, cut and file and start scanning.
My advantage is that I have darkroom set up. Filtered and temperature controlled water and enough chemistry to do 2-3 years worth of shooting.
There have been occasions when film has backed up to 100 rolls +. Drives me nuts and I usually lock myself away for several days clearing it out.

Recently cleared about 15 rolls of B&W going back about 18 months, not counting 3 rolls of 120 I literally cleared by using spent developer 😡

I am now developing soon after I shoot it which is only about two rolls a month.

I'm now up to date with B&W, but have about half a dozen E6 and C41, some going back about three years 😱 Must send it out.

I just have ten portra 120s and a couple of 35mm to develop.
I recently finished scanning all my 35mm from 2011 and 2012. I felt so good about myself that I pulled put this box at the back of my closet that is marked 2009 thinking I would just steam through. It contains 95 rolls of slide film. I'll need to take a few deep breaths before I tackle that one.

If I get bored of marathon developing,

I like Marathon developing. It's pretty interesting to do the forensics and have a hundred mysteries unfold and resolve themselves into a result from the process. I also feel the rewards of accomplishment, knowing that I'm shooting a lot. Also reminds me of the good old days in art school.

About 10 rolls of color. 2 B&W.
I like to start developing color myself as well (though I rarely shoot it). I think those 10 rolls are all different, so gonna have to develop them one at a time. 🙁 🙁

I just finished a scanning marathon. I had developed about 40 rolls over the course of the year, but my scanner was in a different country. It took about 10 days for me to finish. I think I have an aversion to the hum of the Nikon now. I still enjoy the developing, but the scanning can be really tedious.

Well, I guess I did process a bunch mid-year. I only have 10 color rolls and a bucket of B&W. The color is all packaged and ready to be dropped off at the post office. I will reel the B&W and get to that hopefully this weekend. At least a bunch of it.
