Great read, and your photographs are really quite something!

It was very interesting to read your thoughts on stopping down... It made me realize that I quite often shoot with as wide an aperture as possible without any real reason for doing so, I am not chasing bokeh, yet, still I often find myself on f/2.8 even when the light permits smaller apertures.

up to a certain shutter speed I absolutely understand that, but there are many many situations where I feel that, for example, f5.6 works much better than something around f1.2-f2.0.
