I have four Zorki Cameras

Just curious - what lens is that? It looks larger than the I10/I22/I50 or am I imagining it?

Nice thread, Raid. I'm fond of the Zorki-6 with collapsible I-50 and J-12 lenses for a cheap, portable kit. Zorkis are great cameras when properly maintained.

I also have a Zorki-4 but it does not get much use - it is hard to see the whole frame in the viewfinder when using glasses.

what matters is not how many you have, what matters is what you do with them...!!!

I'm talking about photography...

The Zorki C was giving me a bit of trouble with some curtain drag.

Rick,
Nice shots!
You've got me wondering what LET sealing might be. Will this extend the life of cloth shutters? I've just acquired a Z6 and am adding a Z1c and want them to be as reliable as possible for as long as possible.

Nice collection Raid.

I have just purchased Zorki 4K with black Jupiter 8 and the hood from Fedka in excellent condition. I have paid more than twice the e-bay going price but at least I know it is going to work when I get it.

Also on the way, griptac covering from Camera Leather and an adapter for my Pansonic G1 so I can try Jupiter on the digital as well.

Will put some photos once I put the griptac cover on the camera.

I am looking forward to seeing the results of Griptac on the Zorki-4K and reading your impressions. While the cover on my 4K is in excellent condition (like brand new), I have considered Griptac to help mitigate the lack of strap lugs.

That is exactly what I thought when I decided on griptac. I'll post some photos when the new cover is on.

On another note Yuri has e-mailed me yesterday, saying that there are some minor issues with the camera so before he sends it, he will do a CLA.

I want from having just one FSU that I bought years ago in Russia to now having four. I started with a Zorki C but the lens was messed up so never had any luck besides extream flare around anything white. A couple of weeks ago I bough a FED3 from a flea market just for the lens but the body was pretty good and really smooth. So I went back to the fleamarket to get a FED 2 again for the lens as the shutter would not fire properly. While I was there I saw the cleeanest smoothest Zorki 1 so I got that two. Well I fixed the FED2 also so still my original Zorki C is without a decent lens. Must go back again and find another well broken body so I can have the lens.

New to RF and FSU

I'm glad to find both these forums and this particular thread. I just got a Zorki 6 and am excited to start learning how to use it. I've shot two test rolls - still waiting to get the BW developed so I can scan the negatives in, but the color roll was interesting. I noticed light leaks in some of the pictures but not others. I'm not sure if I didn't close the back properly (I'm used to the obvious "click" of my Pentax K1000) or if there is a problem with the light seals. Another test roll is in progress, with back firmly closed.

Here are a few shots from the color roll - one with light leak, one without.

The light leak might be due to a missing light seal. There should be two vertical strips of black felt. One is on the body next to the hinge. The other is on the back beside the catch mechanism.

Thanks, I'll check for that when this roll is finished. Not all of the pictures had that leak, and that was the worst one (oddly enough, I kinda like it in that pic!)

5 Zorkis and film for a run

5 Zorkis and film for a run

I checked my shelves and found a couple of Zorkis I had forgotten. Zorki S3 is the favourite because of quiet shutter the rest are great-the Model 3 was such an advance in its time, but they are all good. Haven't got a 4K--looks nice :)

I have several (a bit embarrassing) but I think the Zorki-3 is the sweetest - primarily because that cut-out makes it very easy to hold in the hand.
