I HAVE TO HAVE a couple of THESE!

The key chain makes it a must. Picture quality is quite acceptable. Kinda wish I wasn't using this iBook.

The attraction to everything photographic... i like to try/shoot everything.
Seems fun. ( if free with a box of cracker-jack, maybe I'd play along)

seeking utmost leica quality then on the other hand to also be amused with micro-fix lens things.

maybe i wont wait for the cracker-jacks to play...

my cellphone has a camera thats better than that!
I think no-one will contest that. But is it as much fun, and did you get it for a tenner too?

From what I see, its small low-res sensor plus dinky lens gives the feel of a pinhole photograph scan.

I could see giving these to the kids in the summer holiday to go out and have some fun. They can snap pictures for hours and all it costs is a AAA battery..

Cool. I have an attachment for my Handspring Visor called the eyeModule which is similar in its low-res funkiness - a lot of fun for composite images. If someone finds an importer of these keychain cameras maybe we could do a bulk buy.

Of COURSE your cell phone camera is better! ANY camera is 'better' than one of these things.

But that is not the point. If I want "better" digital, I use one of my Canon 5D's and some of the L glass in my kit.

But this beats the Canon in Camp, and that is what is important. :)

oh they come in pink too =)
I want one too!
Would you tell us where you got it, please? Haven't seen any at my local office supply places yet.

@ To-m ; Michael Reichmann is in Toronto. These things have popped up at a lot of chain retail stores. I bought one a couple of weeks back to goof around with and throw in my pocket. It cost me $30 CDN. He obviously got a better deal than me.

They're okay for what they do. Crummy image but an interesting one. I'm sure they are on Ebay somewhere. (BTW: please, no one ask me to pick one up for them ... okay?)

My boss gave me one of these for Christmas (I bought my 300D used from him, so this was an equipment bonus).
This thread has inspired me to fire it up.
Mine is the 0.1Mp model. I'm thinking up upgrading to the 0.3Mp, but I heard that it back focuses and the lens isn't sharp out to the edges. :p

A friend of mine gave it to me, I believe he got it during a trip to Asia. Hope it helps!

first one DARTH EGGER????

I have one or two of these gadgets floating around here. You can take some pretty amazing shots with them if you're aware of the limitations (although mine seem to suck batteries like there's no tomorrow). Nobody seems to even realize that they are "real" cameras, so I've gotten some pretty relaxed people photos that way. You also don't have to do much resizing to post them on the web or email them. :D
