I just bought a Leica M-P

I've had two cameras besides this ever that have had to get the rangefinder adjusted. One was only out vertically. The other someone had dropped and broken the beam splitter. This was mystifying to me. I've also never adjusted the rangefinder in my M8 (factory refurbished in 2013).

Well a new to me regular m240 is on its way tomorrow. Ken Hansen is amazing. I’m waiting for my refund still from Popflash to process through the bank. Hopefully tomorrow. Ken sent the camera early so I can have it for my birthday. Incredible guy!

Camera showed up in great shape! Ken is awesome. Even included a Match Technical EP-10s that he hadn't mentioned in his response to me. Camera is focusing perfectly with my lenses too. I'm bummed I didn't get to keep the M-P, but frankly this camera is in much better shape and cost a bit less to boot. Win win overall.

Great news! Yeah something was up with the other camera. My M240 has been rock solid nailing focus. Kinda weird that the M-P wasn't checked to make sure it worked ok. Perhaps something happened in shipping.

I even tried out my 135mm elmar! Haven’t used it in years. The rest are with my 5cm summarit. F2.8 or f2.

It's interesting but the sensor is slightly different in rendering than the M-P (240). More saturated. The sensor was replaced by Leica this August apparently; would that make any difference?

One wide open with my old collapsible Summicron.

Another at f2.8. Loved the conversion here to b&w.
