Whoo hoo!!! I bought a bunch of tools at WalMart and disassembled my second Oly SPn.
I did not remove the lens, the lens is crystal clear and shutter is perfect.
I removed the top and bottom plates, cleaned it like crazy, polished that view finder (MAN THEY ARE BRIGHT ON THE oly's!!!) then I lubed all the gears I could reach, finally I changed the light seals, assembled her and gave her a good clean over.
I can't tell you how clean this thing is. I am NEVER going to let this one go. The only thing that does not work is the batter check light. Darn it...looks like I am going back in there....

Good work! My SP came with an in-op meter. I sent it to a repairman, who found a broken wire from the battery. I still haven't gotten it back yet though. I'm looking forward to using it when it's back from re-hab.
