I toyed with the idea of making a composite with this and another neg to remove the people by the lift, but decided to stick to reality
That's a neat idea, but I like the gaze of the guy on the left working well with HCB's shot.

Shot with Tri-x expired TWENTY years ago, and PUSHED to 1600.
Gotta love B/W films.

I just used straight D-76 and gave slightly longer dev time than what I usually do for Tri-X@1600. The negatives look "OLD" but photos came out OK.
