The more I use this camera, the more I enjoy using it. It's a heavy monster and the design team will win no awards for aesthetics. Yet when I got it, the top cover has a bit of brassing on the edges and the advance knob and lever are a bit scratched up. This wasn't one of those pretty cameras that sat on a shelf since 1972 before hitting ebay - sitting because it never worked! No, this one was used by someone else before me. It wasn't abused, but it saw enough used to show it.
It fits my hands comfortably, the viewfinder is a delight, and the Jupiter 8nb is a keeper. My only real regrets are that they didn't use the metering they built into the 1962 TTL prototype and that I can't use my prewar collapsable Sonnar 50/2 because of the lack of an internal mount. Otherwise this is just a plain fun camera to use.
Thanks for letting me babble. I just had to say something here where someone would understand.
