I don't know if they lost money on this project or not, but it looks like they did it mostly for publicity and to flex some muscle. Yes, we can.

I would try my best to come up with the money, if they brought out a modernized R-D1 (more megapixels, hopefully smaller crop, perhaps a bigger rangefinder base - okay that last one isn't happening).

Matsuiya is one of the best ebay store and a gppd source of RD1. I bought some items from them mainly Hex lenses and I would say they are really a great seller.
