I hope it's okay to share this here...
I recently put together a photozine featuring some of my black and white film photography .
The title is Twenty One of 35. The images all come from a single roll of Ilford FP4 Plus that I recently shot using a Canon 7, and was developed by my good friend and fellow member GerryM. I exposed a total of 35 frames, and after scanning, I selected 21 images for the zine.
It's an 8.5x11 magazine with twenty one 5"x7.5" photos, beautifully printed on matte paper.
I just received the first copy, and I think it looks fantastic, so I made it available for purchase.
I thought some of you here might be interested...

Cool! I'll have to get one to give me a reason to drive all the way out there and have it autographed.

Great Title... Cool Concept...Congrats Colton !
Well Done to be sble to draw the Viewer in on a single roll ...
21 out of 35 , I have never accomplished that many keepers in One roll, Wow.
Count me in ~ btw, Gerry mentioned You were both going out shooting recently...
perhaps another photozine in the making

Congrats, it looks awesome. May I ask why ‘35’ ? I usually get 37 or 38 on a roll.

Ordered one. Very impressive that you can get 21 such shots from a roll. Hopefully you’ll tell us that this photozine idea for such a roll came only after you shot the roll. To have had this consistent quality under the pressure to produce would be even more remarkable. Love the tonality and the space. Very well done. Looking forward to holding it in my hand.

I agree with others. This is a cool concept. And the cost is so reasonable for a POD product! I have used blurb to make some photo books for my family in the past but the cost is more than most people would spend. I will have to check this out on blurb and see.
Oh, and the series does tie well together. Well done, Cotten!!

That looks really great, Colton. And that you got so many keepers from a roll is impressive.
I've always used MagCloud for zines. But they don't offer a matte paper choice. I'll have to give Blurb zines a try.
Zines are great because, although the print quality isn't usually as good, the price makes them affordable or even giveaways.

Nice! Just started following you on flickr. How did you find using blurb? I've always wanted to try it, but I've never pulled the trigger.

And thank you for the help taking the photos, and for the fabulous job you did with developing the film.

Thank you, Helen
I can usually get around 50% keeper rate on a roll, sometimes less, sometimes more, but this roll turned out really well. I may attempt to do a 2nd issue, with a different camera and different film, but it will likely be very difficult to get so many keepers when working under pressure.

35 frames fits perfectly into the typical 7 strip 35mm film sheets. You lose the few frames at the end, but it sure makes organizing your negatives easier.

Yes, the idea to make the zine came about while I was scanning/editing. I really liked how so many of images worked so well together, and I started thinking of ways I could show them as a set. I might attempt it again in the future, but like you say, it will be more difficult to produce while working under pressure.

Thanks guys.
Blurb worked great for this particular project. Their magazine price is quite good, and the paper and print quality is excellent.

Thank you. Blurb was great for this project. Their hardcover books can be expensive, and I would prefer different size/formats, but the magazine is really quite good and inexpensive.
