Hi all,

I was shooting through a roll of tri-x I got for Christmas and the meter on my Bessa R started to flicker.. I'm guessing I need new Batteries.

I've searched the forums, and I want to buy the SR-44 batteries for the extra life and discharge curve.

My question is where to find them? I've looked on line and there are a lot of shady looking sellers out there with "really great prices". Is there anyone you recommend, that willl A. be cheap, and B. not send me questionable batteries.

Thanks!

Is there some reason you are not using the equivalent Lithium 2CR1/3 which lasts longer and is more widely available? I can buy them in many places but almost never see the LR-44 or SR-44.

Thanks everyone!.. I actually found the SR-44 at Adorama for under 2 bucks.. I saw the same batteries at Radioshack for $5. This is huge!

Bob, it's my understanding that the power fall off is better with the silver-oxide batteries. I hear the liths. are the worst. YMMV

ibcrewin: I thought I remembered reading somewhere that modern cameras have some voltage stabilization circuitry to compensate for the fall off. But this is not an area where I have much expertise, so maybe some electronic mavens will chime in here with some intelligent information.

I do see where both my ZI RF and my Mamiya 7 both show the lithium 2CR1/3 as an alternative to the LR44 or SR44 cells.
