I just processed a roll of Tmax 100 in HC110 H for 12m @ 20c (10ml HC110, 590ml water),
  • 30s first agitation,
  • Followed by 5s every minute in a Patterson tank using the turning by finger stem.
  • Stop in water in water for 4m
  • Fix with Harder for 5m (1 shot use) (apparently, my cutting routine scratched negs when I did not use Fix with Hardener. :bang🙂
  • Wash for 20m
  • Photo Flo 1m
  • Dry, cut scan,
Camera: Nikon FE on "A"
Lens: Nikon 24mm f/2.8 Ais, f/5.6 set for the max DOF on the lens DOF scale. (4' - INF)

The above develop routine is my normal workflow, and I have not had these results in the finer details before.

Full Image (no spotting, just scanned at 6400dpi /V700)
PSCC for image exposure ans basic editing, including USM sharpening

What is this from?
if you can help, I would be very thankful

This looks like a scanning issue ... it's the same effect you get when you use too much noise removal in post. I had a similar effect when I tried using the scanner's (also V700) dust/scratch removal software on some old negatives ages ago ... it gave everything this soupy look!

I don't use the NR with the V700...
Just USM on Medium + Levels for exposure...

I rescanned at 4800dpi, and it was as expected... a good scan
So, I think it may be trying the "Shake Reduction" in PSCC.... It just seemed to be too soft for the standard USM tool to be effective....

Is it possible for V700 to blow it on focusing on a flat negative strip in their film holders? The V750 has an adjustment, the V700 is a fixed focus.

I've never had a focus problem with mine ... it's been very reliable. I've never tried to scan at that sort of resolution though!

I scan to at least a 50-60mb file.... 4800dpi, 6400dpi is about 100mb file.
I do make up to 20x30 prints, so this gives me the needed file size for the printers.

I didn't think the v700 did that either, just had to ask as a trouble shoot Q..

It is me oh Lord.... it must the Shake Reduction sharpening I tried. Still not very good with the adjustments.
.... I have used it on old Slides, and it worked out OK..

When I had the V700, I found that any setting over 4800ppi square returned artifacts like this. That's its native optical maximum resolution. everything beyond is interpolation and didn't actually improve scan quality.

If you need more pixels for printing, I'd suggest scaling in post processing.
