Just acquired a Fuji GX617 panoramic camera without any instruction manual. I cannot figure out how to release the back so that it swings down thus enabling film to be loaded . I can see a hinged tab just behind the "bubble level" which lifts up ... but what do I need to do after pulling it up? I've Googled and searched for at least two hours trying to find a downloadable manual but without success. Have found photos of the camera with the back swung down and the tab in the "UP" position .. but how does the back swing down after activationg the tab? Very frustrating trying to make sense of this .

Found a manual for the Fuji G617 here http://www.area360.com/fuji/ but it is different to the GX617

Any assistance or clues will be very much appreciated.

Thanks

from the manual
To open, erect the camera back lock (I think it is the grey thing next to the vf) push it towards the vf to open.
To close this lock must be vertical (up) then press the back against the body, snap the lock down.
I have a manual in PDF form, if you can accept a 2MB file pm me. I have a G617, I couldn't afford the extra!

Thank you Jon and Andrew. I was not pressing the tab firmly enough. Since starting this thread the camera has been returned to the dealer because there is a crack in the side of the body which was not pointed out at the time of purchase and dealer has given me a refund.

Cheers
