I Need to Ventilate

Sorry to hear of your ruined film, Peter. 🙁 You know, I think destruction of negs is harder to take from a lab, because it's largely out of one's own control... frustrating and helpless. If you were processing the film yourself, and screwed up badly, ruining a roll or two, it would be infuriating but you can stand kicking yourself only so much! The comforting part there is that YOU can control the improved procedure next time to prevent a repeated disaster. And you can process your own XP2 at home! 🙂

Thanks Doug, you mean there are C41 self-developing kits around these days?

Sure, Peter! Ilford even used to offer their own kit in at least two sizes for the old XP-1 version of the film. I still have an unopened 84 ounce XP-1 kit in my darkroom. B&H currently offers several brands of home C-41 kit (I've heard some people say it's better to have separate Bleach and Fix steps than a combined Blix, I dunno):

Well, it looks like B&H has the Kodak Flexicolor kits on hand but can't ship them, and other stuff is out of stock! How handy... But RFF sponsor Adorama seems to have the full line-up of Kodak Flexicolor C-41 components in a rather confusing variety. And they will ship it! You have to poke through the various components looking for the items intended for small tank use non-replenished. Here's a link:
