Hi. I got a Canonet that I'll most likely be letting go to Chris Rebo, but I must say how impressed I am with the QL17 GIII.

Yup. I used just 2 canonets the whole time in Paris in November, and I'm still absolutely ecstatic about the results. Other than the fixed lens (and that's neither here nor there in this discussion), it stood up just fine against my wife and her Nikon.

some of my best photos (including one to be used in the 2nd RFF book) were taken with a Canonet.. I suppose, given that, I ought to stop giving Joe a hard time about his Canons... nah!

Ok I am joining the I am a Canonet Fan club/cult. I too have a GIII and yes it takes some real bad ass pictures that almost gives my Leica and Contax a run for its money.
