I have been contemplating getting rid of my d200. BUT, I am thinking of replacing it with a d2x.
I think it will be interesting to see how the new sensor in the smaller D300 performs against the D2X. I presume they will be similar in cost and the 300 wouldbe substantially more portable (if that's a benefit).
The launch of the D3 is also likely to have a detrimental impact on used values of d2x & d2xs models.

I was very happy when I sold Nikon D70 with 18-70. I take rd1, m4 with me much more often than I did with the evil SLR. I never felt so joyous as now. I made my two photo life worst mistakes which was to buy om1 as first camera and D70 as first digital camera, LOL It did took a while before they were replaced with RF. It was nightmare, real pain in ass during the time...
If I did know better before......I should to do at otherway......ahh....nevermind

Always glad when someone from a young generation decided to use film.

I found the OM system quite good, my OM2 is marginally smaller than my M3 and not that much noisier, for certain situation it's still used.tomasis said:I made my two photo life worst mistakes which was to buy om1 as first camera and D70 as first digital camera, LOL It did took a while before they were replaced with RF. FYI Im 19, and shoot M3, OM2 and Bronica, all film. Most of non-photographic friends dont even know what film is, or why there is no screen at the back

Luckily I'm at art school, film is very much so not dead.

Long Live Film!!!
I used to work down at the Looking Glass in Berkeley on the weekends, assisting in the dark room and with the usual digi P&S/dslr sales, trouble shooting.
We used to get those that would come in to exclaim how wonderful their Mk2s, etc etc were, and how they were happy they never got into film, the inconveniences, etc etc...
If we were lucky, we'd get some one in the darkroom enlarging his 4x5/6x9 neg into a 16x20, and we'd often get them out with their work to erm... "compare" the differences.
DSLR user:
common question: " what sized raw file did u use to get that print"
2nd question: "why is your print dripping?
3rd question: " what is that funny smell?"

The good thing is, your D200 would have been worth 50$ or so in five years time, whereas your M7 will still cost as much as you paid for it.

Agree on D200, but I'd seriously doubt that M7 will cost the same in 5 years.

D'oh!
I sold my D200 to buy a Nikon Coolscan 9000. And now I'm selling my Bronica RF645 to fund a Mamiya 7II. Keep an eye open - my Bronica body and 65mm lens will hit the classifieds here as soon as I get some digi-pics made.
