I had this incredible Gear Acquistion Syndrome attack this week. I think that I have succesfully passed through it with a purchase. First, I had a great deal on a MF rangefinder on e-bay, but my computer crashed at the last minute of the auction while submitting the bid (I like dive bombing my bids at the last second)! The camera went without a bidder, was resubmitted, and now everyone has bid on it putting the price way out of reach. Next I lost 3 successive items by a few dollars each (two lenses and one FSU camera). I'm not sure whether I'm happy or pissed off. Why does this happen?
