Beautiful.
Wait, you have other letters (b,d,f,g) and numbers (II) missing from the family.

Thanks Helen, Taskoni,
I've got one more Black Leica III on the way, but that appears to have been lost by the USPS mail service
Also have 3 Zorki cameras lying around, one is undergoing major surgery when I can find the time.
I know, right!
Unfortunately my bankaccount can't keep up!
I'd love to see Tom's collection, myself.

True, and if I ever get into selling prints, maybe I'll even make money of them

Wow, what a beautiful collection.
I only have 2 barnacks (a shark skin IIIc and a IIIg). But I would love to find a black Leica III, with all the nobs in nickel… My nickel elmar would then have a proper home!

I went antique shopping with my wife yesterday and after leaving a shop my wife called me back in saying "hey there is something in here with your favorite name on it" and there on a lower shelf that I had walked by sat a IIIF red dial (no self timer) with 50mm Summicron, a 35 f3.5 Summaron, a 90mm f4 Elmar, and a Steinheil Munchen Culminar 135mm f4.5 (is anyone familiar with this lens, I have never heard of this company but it is German and appears to be well made) also various lens hoods, accessory finder, flash etc....all in surprisingly great condition. well after agreeing to meet a few of my wifes conditions ( I can only keep film in my darkroom instead of where ever I empty my pockets in the house.... a pet peeve of hers*) I walked out of there with a early birthday present. Well I am one happy Barnack convert and I told my wife that this is probably the last camera I will ever need which brought a laugh from her and she said "now we both know that's not true"
BTW I sure love my wife
* of course after she had time to think about it she thought of many more conditions for me to meet but alas the deal was struck

MISH, how much for the outfit, if I may ask?

Steinheil Munchen Culminar 135mm f4.5 (is anyone familiar with this lens, I have never heard of this company but it is German and appears to be well made)
I've had this one and the 105mm F/3.8 in Exakta not sure if they're optically similar to the LTM versions. , they're ok but I've never found an example that was clear (without some haze/fungus). I prefer the 135mm Nikkor RF lens, nice, not expensive.
The Steinheil portrait length lenses seem to be enjoying a resurgence in popularity due to people using them on digital cameras, they used to be kinda hard to sell used; a lot more popular now.
This sounds like a very nice set though, I love all three of those Leitz lenses.

All this talk is making it very hard to wait for the Leica I just sent out for overhaul to come back.

OK trying my hand at digital photography so don't know if this is going to work (my wife just about had a heart attack when she came upstairs and saw I had her camera out) but I am trying to include some pictures here
Well that did not work... maybe someone can tell me what I am doing wrong
I even created a fliker acct so I would have somewhere to pull the photos from
(thanks to MC JC86 as you will see in the posts that follow his instructions solved my problem)

I'm REALLY glad you posted this thread.....makes me feel lots better. I have a IIIa, IIIc sharkskin, IIIc(K) stepper, and a IIIf BD. I just love the darned things!! They are my favorite shooters when I'm not in a big rush. Pretty close to the perfect machine.

Hey Rick,
I'm really sorry to have intensified this addiction of yours!

Looks the grey '38 IIIa is in good company there, I feel relieved!

Hosting the images in Flickr is a good start.
Next, click on the image you want to show in your thread. Once it is on the screen you right click on the image.
The different sizes that Flickr will display your picture at are show (usually medium 500, medium 640, large).
Click on the size (generally 640 is good for posting here, IMO, this may vary though). The image will be shown on the Flickr page they size you selected. Here's the important part.
Right click anywhere on the image and select "Copy Image Location".
When you are ready to post here, select the little box that looks like a picture (will say "Insert Image" if you hold the cursor over it) and right click "paste" the Image Location.
These instructions will vary slightly dependent on browser, OS, but are pretty much universal.
I apologize in advance if I screwed anything up, just hopes this leads to you posting some images taken with those new lenses of yours!
