LOng for a IF to use my wide angle lens only. I love the two accessory shoes that the middle one is aligned with the lens perfectly that I can put the external VF most comfortably.

They don't show frequently in RFF and Ebay (not mention those dealers). :bang:

Any IF lover here? and share your thoughts, Please.

I had one... it got old quick. I loved the way it looked and it was so minimal (with 28mm CV 3.5), but then again, it was just too limited for every day use.

Thanks, wjlapier. YOur beautiful set up makes me feel even bad 🙂.

The first BW and the second color pic are simply wonderful. Especially the second one.

I also plan to use he CV28mm on it (if I can get one). I don't need the RF as the DOF should be able to cover. And I will use it as my everyday's camera.

If I have some special shooting task, I will carry my M.

I kept lusting after one for my 12mm UWH and 25mm Snapshot-Skopar until I finally noticed that the If lacks the slow speed dial; so now I have an MDa instead.

I'm tempted to trade it in for an MD instead, though, since I prefer loading with the M3/M2-style removable spool rather than the MDa's evil tulip thing.

I've lusted after a 1F for a while.

And yes, the 1G would be more capable, with the slow speeds, although not as "sleek".

Seems like ebay has a few now, and not by the dealers.

I have both a If and Ig. The Bessa L, while not so elegant, is a far easier camera to use. If you need two accessory shoes, you can buy a Voigtlander double shoe adapter - out of production I think but there must be a few around.

Thanks for all input. A MDa or Ig's top is still too high. I prefer the minimal size of the IF. I used to have a Bessa L and T before. I prefer T over the L for the solid build feel. But still quit them because of the loud shutter.

I will keep on watching on ebay. And I know it's not a WTB thread, anyone who has a If to offer, pls kind drop me a message.

Hi Robin, if you don't need flash synchro...you may consider a Leica Standard (or Model 1C with standardized lens mount) and have the 50mm side viewfinder removed. 🙂

The Leica Standard was replaced in 1949 with the Leica 1c. So it hasn't got slow speeds or sync but would you really use either of these? Having this as an alternative to the 1f would increase your chances of finding a body with a centred shoe - bit cheaper than the 1f and I think it's nicer to handle.

Thanks, I will search for Standard too. Once I almost won a black paint standard several month ago.

I don't use the slow speed often on my IIIF. When It's too dim, I normally keep the camera in the bag.

what's the going rate for the IF now? I remember it used to be around $500. I haven't really been checking on the auction site lately.
I really like how it handles. The double coldshoes are very cool.
