There was a discussion today [thursday] on another camera site, maybe LUG or IDCC, about the Jupiter 3 [50/1.5] and the consensus was that a Russian site called Fedka, run from the U.S. by a fellow called Yuri -- and considered very reliable -- had them and that they were regarded as very good...I looked myself and the one I saw was priced at $90usd, plus s&h, I guess...regards, bob

i can find all other fsu lens here in very cheap prices <15$ so i thought maybe someone wants to trade. for example i can send j8, j12, i61... or maybe i can give 2 lens for that... every option is open as far as i am concerned.

in serbia we have almost all basic models of fsu cameras (fed2,3 zorki4,5...) selling on a flea market for a few $ so just ask if u have some ideas

Once you add in shipping, most of the J-3's on Ebay go from $70~$120. Less than that, the condition of the glass is poor. $90 for a known-working J-3 is a good price.

Given your location, I would think it easier for you to find one.

you said "Given your location, I would think it easier for you to find one." u r right but in serbia we have only simple FSU gear i havent see some orion15 or j3 in my life, and people of foto market also told me that they havent seen them in serbia. thats why i ask here. 😀

Ahoj Srdjan! Unfortunately, I do not have a spare J3. I just received mine, in Kiev mount, about one week ago. I paid it 59$ including shipping on eBay, from seller gutphoto, located in Dnepropetrosvk, Ukraine. Despite having a rating of 97.3%, I decided to risk it, and I got a winner lens, perfect in all things. I decided to go after a chrome Jupiter-12 from 1958, looking similar to the biogon and produced at Arsenal. If I ever find a J-3 here in Prague, I will let you know, but those are pretty scarce here. I've seen some Orion 15 and Russar MR-2, but they are expensive as hell!

If I ever find something I'll let you know... but I think it's going to be a difficult task.

i have one idea. whent next photo market is held everyone can write down all fsu lens that people sell. that way we could get more lens. 😉
