The other day this Ukranian guy I only know only in passing turned up with a bag. I opened it up and there was a grubby Fed-2 with zebra Industar 61
Now this is a guy I've only spoken to a few times, and when I found out he was from the Ukraine naturally the conversation went onto Fed's and Kiev's... Anyway, I must have jokingly said to him some time ago that next time he went home to bring me back a Fed...
So anyway he comes from a village near Kharkov, and one day he was down at the flea market having a look around. At one stall an old woman was selling a variety of stuff and he asked if she had any old cameras. She wandered off and came back later with the family Fed 2 which he said he paid approx $3 usd for... No matter what I said he would'nt take any money for it. Thank you Alexi !!!
It required a bit of a clean up as you'd expect. 30th and 60th were sticking but are sorted now. Rangefinder seems pretty accurate but will at some stage attempt a cla with help from the Fed 2 sticky. Serial number is 6756062 which seems to make it a late Fed2.... can someone confirm.
The Industar 61 has scratches on the front element but no fungus. Serial no 2147359. Shutter blades look abit rusty but is in full working order. I've got a roll of Fuji Superia 800 loaded at the moment so shall post pics soon...
Anyway, just thought I'd share this as I was pretty damn stoked!

That is an amazing giveaway. Congratulations!
The russian cameras is often delivering and the zebra-Industar is great! My Zorki 4K has some issues and I am using a Zorki 2C for the moment as my toss around. Below is a picture with a Zorki 4K ant the industar 61/LD @1/15 and full aperture. An then cropped! No sharpening.
The second picture is with a Jupiter 8. Underexposed due to a malfunktioning shutter on my Zorki 4K.
