…would i have a ton of handbags/purses?
i know, a goofy thought for an old ugly guy…but i have been using man bags ever since i discovered an army surplus store in nyc as a kid.
they seem to make so much sense to me as i like to carry a lot of stuff.
even now as an old fart i still carry stuff with me…the few times i might leave home empty handed i always feel like i'm missing something.
i'm the guy who stops at all the leather bag stores in the mall, the university bookstores, camping stores/outdoor stores, mountaineering stores…you get the idea…and am always checking out what's out there.

If you were a girl, you would have a couple of hundred of cameras and you you would have only a bag or two to put them in. And a hell of a time deciding which cameras to use....
;)

That's hilarious Joe.

How many years did it take you to arrive at this insight? ;-)

For what it's worth, your bag threads have been an important source of information and inspiration for me! How you carry stuff is indeed a big deal.

If you were a girl .......... ?

You wouldn't have any ex-wives .... ex-husbands instead! LOL :D

Going to the Army Surplus store looking for bags is fun...I've bought some just because they were cool looking...figured out what to do with them later...currently using five or six army bags right now...

it just came to me tonight…after 4 days of cold/flu pills!

Hey, dude!
I'm an't no girl, but we managed to have four. One of them likes to have a ton of what you have mentioned, dude.

Just in case, it is OK to be a girl even if you are dude as you and I'm, where I'm.

Cheers!

You should make your own line of camera bags for women. Probably the fastest growing segment of photographers.

This is going to be even more fun when someone invents the anti-gravity bag. No matter how much you put in it, you can hardly feel it on your shoulder.

I suppose you could mock one up now with a large helium filled balloon. Might look a bit conspicuous when taking candid street shots, though. :D

My Ex-wife, still way more than a friend..
carried a fairly large bag(purse in Canada.)
Not for a camera, but her Ruger..
P's camera is her phone.

I don't use a bag for my gear.
Often a backpack for my spare AA-batteries.
Digital need batteries.
I shoot film in a M3 usually with the 50mm lens.
I only carry the film, in the body, for a photo walk.

... well she'd never find her purse in that enormous bag

purse; noun ... a small pouch of leather or plastic used for carrying money, typically by a woman.

If you were a girl ......
.... you would have boxes and boxes of shoes!
And you think cameras are expensive!
And you think bags are expensive!
Try women's shoes for price!
Guess what!
Always the wrong colour, wrong height, wrong style, too small, too large, not seasonal, on special offer not to be missed!
Stick to bags, Joe!
