hi guys, I just stumbled across this sub forum and learnt about using leica lenses on digital bodies. very exciting indeed!
May I know if the leica lenses can be used on olympus dslr bodies? I am talking about the E series. it would be nice to have OVF.

It's not a stupid question and I hope I'm not giving you a stupid answer. I assume you're referring to Leica rangefinder M or screw-mount lenses. If so, no, they cannot be used on Olympus E 4/3 cameras, but can be used with an adapter on Olympus and Panasonic so-called EVIL--electronic viewfinder interchangeable lens--micro 4/3 cameras. The determining factor is the flange-to-lens distance, too large in E-series Olympus cameras and short enough in the EVILs.

oh thanks for the answer. it's a pity then.

Just a correction, I incorrectly said "lens-to-flange", when I meant ""flange-to-film/sensor".
I recently picked up an M to u4/3rds adapter, and have an EP2 with the electronic viewfinder. It really is amazing how clear the image is. You might try it out.

Brian, you are so right. It is really a fantastic combo, and I'm just amazed at what it can deliver.
