Hi all,
I encountered the following issue with an Icarex 35 S TM:
when I wind the shutter, the camera fires as if the shutter button were pressed (of course it is not pressed).
any idea?

I know nothing about that specific camera but the problem will be a latch that holds the camera in it's cocked condition. Either the latch is worn/faulty or something is preventing it from locking. The latch will be the mirror latch. The 'shutter' release will actually release the mirror which will then release the shutter when the miror is fully up.
I'm not aware of an Icarex repair manual but, apparently, the Icarex shares a lot with the Rollei SL35 and the repair manual for that shows the mirror latch under the base plate so I would start there. Here's the manual (see page 4)

Well, I never thought there'd be such a quick, and useful, reply after I bumped this thread. A 👍 to you monopix.

Good luck with this! My only caution is that Zeiss Ikon cameras tend to be more complicated than they need to be. 🙂

I have a couple of these that I need to get out and use -- one with the bayonet mount (and a Tessar) and the other with the thread mount. Kind of big clunky things but well made, as one would expect. Nice clear viewfinder, and the metered CS finder seems to work well, once you get the hang of it (set the desired shutter speed on the finder as well as on the camera body).

Let us know how you make out with the mirror.
