Leica seems to have forgotten, with the advent of digital Leicas, that some of us wear glasses; some of us use 28mm and 35mm lenses; and some of us wear glasses and use wide angle lenses. Leica answered this need for film cameras by supplying .58 finders as an alternative to the standard .72. But for digital Leicas, as far as I know, the .68 finder is our only option.
Why were some of us forgotten? I think a .58 M9 would be as useful a tool as the other upgrades you get with an M240, M10, etc.

I couldn't agree more. I'm in love my my 0.58 finder. I would love to convert my M9 to 0.58, and while they're at it, change the shutter to the M10-P almost-silent shutter as well. Then I would have the absolute best toy there ever could be.

I wonder: Is it possible the .58 finder from, say, an M6 could work in the M9? And I wonder if the M9 finder would go in the M6. Hmmmm . . . .
I guess it would depend on whether the M9 shutter speed display could be combined with the M6 .58 finder, so it would remain in the M9. It won't do for it to wind up in the M6!
