IDEA! 2010 FSU Contest!!

I'm in, it'll give me a chance to check out this FED-Zorki I just got. I just got done adjusting the rangefinder and adjusting the shutter, hopefully it works okay.
 
May 1 is International Commie Camera Day 2010 on flickr. Weekend of May 1 is when it starts so if this contest starts May 1 you can participate in both. I will! Also my son is getting married in an outdoor ceremony on May 1st so one of my cameras will certainly be an FSU. Thinking on using the Fed 2 this year!

these things are more expensive than i previously thought, I'm wanting a zorki 1 with collapsible 50, they are averaging about 100 for something in decent condition per fedka, alexphoto, asterliks.
 
Light meter? with a Zorki? Takes all of the fun out of it, doesn't it? If you are going to estimate FSU shutter speed as close enough, go all the way with sunny 16 :)

Now that would be the real thing: all FSU, no using a light meter, ONE roll of 36 pictures (what do we have as FSU film ?) !

Any excuse to use my Zorki 4. Woulda liked to use my 'new' 4k but it just died on me mid way thru the first roll! Nevermind, just get the rules sorted and I'll get snapping! :)

Alright, this contest and my desire to have a collapsible lens has just led me to buy a Zorki 1 w/collapsible industar. Now all I have to do is wait for it to get here. I really hope this purchase doesn't spur me to buy more FSU cameras.
 
LOL, Brilliant, as flimsy reasons for justifying the purchase of another camera go thats awesome!:D
I've been trying to justfy the purchase of a 120 folder rangefinder to my wife and ive not tried that one yet so I'll give it a try

haha yeah, I'm not married but have been with the same girl for the past 4 years and am living with her, sometimes i feel the same like I need to justify the purchase for her sake. Surprisingly when i told her of the purchase she said jokingly "you go boy!"
 
Lol, fairplay, she's probably not told you about the £400 pair of shoes she bought the last time you were out with the camera!!:D

Took my Fed out all day yesterday, Sekonic fell off about 20 times, and I'm hopeless without it. A hammer has made it right.

With our loose cold shoes, we will bury you!

Steve, never before I've seen this type Sekonic -- (perhaps unavailble in my village in the Alps;-) would you be so nice to tell me the product's name?
 
I am in - have completely lost track of the rules though :cool:
So I´ll start shooting on the May 1st, and then what???
