IDEA! 2010 FSU Contest!!

I think that is the sekonic twinmate l-208
Steve, never before I've seen this type Sekonic -- (perhaps unavailble in my village in the Alps;-) would you be so nice to tell me the product's name?

So what are the rules? Is it just FSU camera and lens? What kind of film?

Dear Comrade Kyle, if forestry is included in your definition of agriculture and not too white-bread, I would love to partycipate!

Let me explain all three of my suggestions

1988-USSR-poster.jpg

This is a classic example, on the left and right you have the proletariat. On the left is the farm worker, holding the Sickle (Agriculture), the tool that harvested food for the people, choice thing to photograph for this would be wheat. On the right is a factory worker, holding the Hammer (Industry), the tool used to build the infrastructure for Russia. Together they help the people into the modern era and help create the Red Soldier (the guardian of the people and the State from fascist rule and capitalist exploitation). Agriculture feeds the Soldier, clothes him, and keeps him healthy. Industry arms him with the tools he will need to protect the motherland and his own head.

I went so overboard with that.

So Comrad you want a few rules huh? Be careful what you wish for :)

THE RULES according to Brian

1. FSU ONLY
2. Any format any Film.
3. The Theme will be ... Military, Industrial, and Agriculture (includes Forestry and Fishing of course).
4. If you live in any CCCP country you can vote for yourself as many times as you please.
4. The winner will receive gifts of film from fellow comrades as a gesture of solidarity.
5. Contest will run from 1st of May until the 31st of May 2010

You may go outside and play now

Brian

Judging will be done by the people!

In the first few days of June we will all get to have our say, maybe a poll or something simple but there will be no arguing or name calling

The winner will be announced and the little prizes will start to arrive from all over the world

DA DA DA!

Seriously folks I think one of us will need to ask Stephen for a Gallery so that photos can be uploaded from May First, no real idea on how the voting will be done maybe just the way it was in the last competition way back in 2007, the ideal situation is that we can see who is winning and we will all know who the winner is at the end.

So Mr KyleAHPhotog it's your idea so you get to make the final rules and say go!

Then get take pictures of monuments and stuff, there are some tanks and things at various veteran memorials across the country, or head to a military museum, and I know there is a lot of stuff in Euroland (Europe).
