Idea Photographic: After Modernism

Here is an interesting site I found tonight.

I like the discussion of the contrast between European surrealism and photography. We studied about the value of surrealism in dealing with the wars of the world. It seems almost rebellious now that instead of the quantity of surrealist works, we see a great deal more "in your face" super-real coverage and response to the darker side of humanity.

Thanx, bookmarked the site! Not too many photo examples, though, but you get an idea about photo history within the first half of the 20th century, and about possible further reading.
