Ideal camera/lens for Venice

I visited Venice in Feb, during Venice Carnival. Brought 35 and 50mm for my M, but at the end only use 35mm.
During Carnival, Venice very crowded not easy to shoot object without disturbed by people who walking cross the frame when we push shutter..😀

Use 28mm probably good idea

I don't have a specific kit for Venice but 28mm and 50mm are my standard FLs whether in 135, 6x6 (50mm, 80mm) or 4x5 (90mm and 150mm). I did ok in a few winters ago with my 4x5 in Venice when there were hardly any tourists and seemed like I had the place to myself.
