Ideas for trip to India please

judging my my last trip I could happily shoot with one body and a 25 and 35. I found I had no need for anything wider and I'm not a long lens person anyway.

My advice would be to keep it candid, free and fleeting. Its too easy to take cliched/contrived shots in India and as someone said, give them more than a second and they will be posing for you, rigid as a board. You have to be quick. IMHO the wonder of india is in the spontaneity, movement and oddness of so many fleeting moments. Take more than 2-3 lenses and you will slow down and lose3 more than lens choices win you. I would largely keep your fave FL glued to the front with the camera constantly ready.

Dear Roger,

Many thanks for that link - I will devour the content later :)

We did Goa about 20 years ago - first thing we did was hire a Honda (we are not really beach people after all). Apart from Madame nearly killing a pig and going over the bars, it was a very rewarding way to see the countryside. ISTR that the kit taken on that trip was a Retina IIc and a Fuji 7s. Some of the best pics I have ever taken, and great memories. the thought of 4 or 5 Indian gentlemen dusting Ann down with their hankies still makes me cry with laughter after all these years :D

I had the dream of riding an Enfield back from the factory (I used to ride a hard-tail model G, back in the day), but I doubt that will ever happen - I seem to have become accustomed to riding in a box.
