I'm really not considering one (I have a TA Rapidwinder), but I do have a few questions about these.

Background - my first time through with Leica Ms, I had an M4-P and a M4-2 Winder plus a few lenses (#$%@, I miss that Noct!). The winder came as part of the deal, and I found it clunky and loud. It was handy for a occasions where I was covering a press conference - my 90 Cron blew away everything else I had in my bag, so I'd occasionally use my M instead of the Nikons for standups.

Now, I see Leica may have actually done a motor right. Does it kick the shutter button like the old winders were infamous for doing? What is the sound level like in each mode?

I can't compare to older motors, but the current Motor M is not very loud or heavy and has a very ergonomic grip (though the grip is slightly flexible feeling). It's very nice for left eyed photographers like me.

It's flexible feeling? Can you explain? I'm interested in getting one. How quiet is it?

Thanks.

I actually picked one up a few weeks ago, and really like it. There's an extremely small amount of flex if you squeeze the grip much tighter than you would in normal use. It's not silent, but it certainly isn't loud - particularly in slow mode.
